As of 31st October 2009 Construction Induction Training is now a requirement under NT Worksafe Regulations.
Prior to commencing construction work in the NT, employers must ensure workers have completed general induction training.
Employers must ensure all existing workers engaged to perform construction work in the NT that are working within probationary classification complete general induction within two (2) moonths of the commencement of the Code of Practice approved by the Minister.
Employers must ensure all workers performing construction work in the NT complete general induction training within ten (10) months from the date of commencement of the Code of Practice.
A white card is obtained by completing the nationally accredited unit of competency: CPCCOHS1001A 'Work safely in the Construction Industry' (White card), a course delivered over approximately six (6) hours.

All workers carrying out construction work including: Project managers Supervisors Apprentices and trainees Labourers Sub Contractors
